sweet and nutty

I absolutely love sesame seeds. Here in the Greene Treats kitchen I like to sprinkle the sweet and nutty seeds into almost everything! Pizza, cookies, quiche, muffins, stir fry, everything! Here they are featured in my signature whole wheat sesame coins.

  I did some research on how I could grow my own sesame crop... but I think it needs a warmer climate to be successful. While it may be decades before the Pacific Northwest has a long and warm growing season, I thank the organic farmers dedicated to producing high quality organic sesame seeds for you and me to enjoy.
